Students learn in an active auto service facility that is open to the public and can test for Automotive Service Excellent (ASE) certifications while completing the program. This program is National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)-certified for both secondary and post-secondary levels.
In an active campus auto service facility, students practice all aspects of the profession, from balancing tires to diagnosing engine problems. Using advanced computerized analyzers, students learn diagnostic techniques and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, service fuel injection systems, and much more. Bates' automotive program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) for both secondary and postsecondary levels.
