Auto Body Repair
Students prepare for apprenticeship employment in the auto body rebuilding and refinishing industry, serving independent auto shops, automotive dealerships, government agencies, utility firms, and other companies that maintain their own fleets. Positions include technician, painter, estimator, and glass installer. Extensive hands-on training in an active auto body and fender shop gives the students practice in all aspects of the profession, including tool room management, repair estimating, and shop supervision. Students will be using paint guns, paint booths, frame rack, power and hand tools in this program. Students are responsible for purchasing their own boots, coveralls, and paint respirators.
