Build a hybrid mobile applications or responsive website from start to finish in 22 weeks; become proficient in adding back end to front end, using front-end frameworks, grids and responsive design, Bootstrap CSS, JavaScript components and the #1 Javascript library, React. Design user interactions on websites; develop servers and databases for website functionality; code for mobile platforms; deploying your work to the cloud in partnership with Google Cloud. Students will be introduced to advanced aspects of JavaScript ES6, React Components and will develop React-Redux based applications. As the program progresses, students will learn to update and package the responsive website and publish it as a true mobile application to Apple Store or Google Play, using React Native and the Expo SDK to access all native hardware capabilities of modern phones and tablets. Finally, on the server side, students learn to implement open-source NoSQL databases using MongoDB database engine, work within a Node.js environment, Express framework, communicate to the client side through a RESTful API, and authenticate users using the fundamentals of cybersecurity.
