General Dentistry for the Dental Assistant

North West Dental Assisting School
Our accelerated program is comprised of 80 total hours of lab, lecture, equipment, materials, and hands-on training, approximately 10 hours of home-study and 7 hours of home-study computer assisted learning. We provide each student with Observation/Externship forms so the student may volunteer at a dental clinic of their choosing to experience their new skills with a dental team. North West Dental Assisting School does not require a specific number of hours in Observation or Externships, however, the experience will greatly help the student build their confidence in obtaining employment. The Dental Assistant program will focus on the following topics with each topic building upon the next topic but not necessarily in this order (see outline):
