During this twelve week students will learn and practice skills necessary to design and build their own unique furniture pieces. This education will range from project management and workflow, techniques for assembling and shaping furniture, and experimenting with methods for enhancing and altering wood quality and color.

Foundations of Woodworking I. This class is open to woodworkers who would like to build a competent understanding of furniture making but have some basic understanding of the craft. For us this means you understand hand tool use and sharpening, and have some familiarity with basic layout processes and basic joinery techniques. Our Foundations of Woodworking curriculum is an excellent description of the skills we think you should possess. If you are unsure about suitable fit, please contact us to discuss.
