Educational Studies

University of Washington - Bothell
The Educational Studies major is an interdisciplinary degree program designed for students interested in working with youth, families, and communities in and beyond the classroom. Educational Studies majors explore critical issues in education, including the tensions between education and social justice; child and youth development across social contexts; and how systems of inequity shape teaching and learning. Through community-engaged learning opportunities, Educational Studies majors develop leadership skills to nurture and sustain partnerships with families and communities. Educational Studies majors go on to become change agents who work against inequity and advocate for social change.
