JavaScript has enjoyed tremendous growth over the past few years, both in its utility as a technology and value as a skill in the job market. JavaScript has long been the only programming language that can be run natively in a web browser. It is now also being used to program everything from servers to mobile devices to microcontrollers. Interest in and demand for JavaScript skills continue to increase and show few signs of slowing down in the future. JavaScript Development teaches students a set of intermediate front-end development skills using JavaScript,jQuery, Git and GitHub, and the command line. For their final project, students will build a modern, single-page web application that utilizes industry best practices.
