Washington Care Academy offers comprehensive 75-hour Home Care Aide (HCA) training, equipping aspiring caregivers with the essential skills to attain their HCA Certificate. Our program, approved by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), is designed as an engaging and interactive online course. Through a carefully crafted curriculum, participants gain a deep understanding of core caregiving principles, including Core Basics, Population-Specific care, Nurse Delegation, and specialized training in Dementia (Level 1) and Mental Health (Level 1). For students in the 75-Hour Home Care Aide program, the academy focuses on the knowledge and skills required to pass the Washington State certification exam administered by Prometric. Test preparation includes:

  • Clinical Skills Practice: Students receive 16 hours of in-person, hands-on clinical skills training at regional labs (Federal Way, Vancouver, or Spokane) to master the 22 core skills required for the state exam.

  • Study Materials: The program includes Prometric exam prep materials and required textbooks to support the written portion of the test.
