Columbia Basin College ETPL
The Bachelor of Applied Science in Teacher Education (BASTE): Residency Teacher Preparation Program with Early Childhood Education Endorsement prepares teacher candidates with content and subject knowledge required for teaching in pre-k through 3rd grade classrooms in Washington public schools. Using a cohort model, this two-year program supplements knowledge and experience earned from previous degrees in early childhood education (or closely related) with 3-400 level courses and student teaching. The program is built on the existing Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree.
