This comprehensive course begins with covering general construction skills including safety, trade math, proper and safe use of hand and power tools, construction drawings, material handling and job site communication. The course will focus on a Laborer role in concrete placement, including site preparation, job setup and layout, estimating concrete, concrete forming systems, concrete placement, and concrete curing. A focus on safety will include OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Flagger Certification, and Financial Tools for the Trades will be provided as part of this course.

CITC students are required to have their own a laptop or tablet computer with video, audio, camera, microphone, and wireless network access with them on their fist day of class. It is crucial that students have the required textbooks and class materials by the first day of class. Students will be instructed on how to purchase the required e-text(s) on the first day of class. To purchase the stand alone NCCERConnect with e-text, students will need a Course ID #. Course ID will be provided by the course instructor. CITC Instructor will provide the Course ID no later than the first day of class.Students are expected to purchase the required e-texts during the first day of class.
