Nursing DTA/MRP
EvCC's Nursing Program has been preparing students to be nurses since 1941. Graduates of our accredited program receive an Associate in Nursing DTA/MRP degree. Following the national movement for nurses to seek more education, most graduates continue their studies and earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher nursing degrees. Nursing is a profession that requires a high level of both academic and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to a career focused on helping others. Both nursing education and entry level RN positions require the provision of direct hands-on care to others and a schedule that includes work on nights, weekends and holidays. For those committed to entering a caring profession, nursing is a challenging, rewarding and multi-faceted career. We highly recommend that you review the essential qualifications of a nursing student. EvCC offers several options for students interested in becoming registered nurses. Though it is still possible to enter the nursing profession with only an Associates Degree in Nursing DTA/MRP(ADN), it is becoming increasingly necessary to get a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in order to be assured of continued employment. We are committed to graduating well-prepared ADN nurses as well as providing opportunities for a seamless progression to the BSN.
