The Crime Analysis and Investigations Certificate provides specialized education in how to identify and define crime trends, problems and patterns, and how to use research, statistics, and analysis to create tactics and strategies that lead to effective police responses to crime. This program is eligible for accreditation from the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence analysts (IALEIA). Upon entrance into the certificate program, students become eligible for membership into IALEIA. Upon completion, students are eligible for professional credentialing by the IALEIA and the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA). The analytic skills learned in this certificate may also be transferred to no-criminal justice disciplines and positions.
