Bookkeeping Assistant (I-BEST)

North Seattle College ETPL
In the I-BEST Accounting Program, you start your career in accounting by completing the Accounting Office Assistant I and II certificates in just two quarters. Then continue on the pathway to job-ready success by completing the Bookkeeping or the Computerized Accounting Certificates. The program starts in winter quarter. You must attend an information session. Check the I-BEST Acccounting Information Session calendar for dates. The Bookkeeping Assistant certificate provides the student with a basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures, business and accounting computer software, and computational skill-building. It is designed to provide foundational skill development and incremental course completion that can be applied to the Bookkeeping certificate, Computerized Accounting Technology certificate, and the Accounting AAS degree. In addition, students will broaden their understanding of the accounting field through real-world job shadowing experiences in the public and/or private sector.
