This program will provide the fundamental skills and knowledge applicable to heavy hydraulic crane operation and rigging and to prepare students for employment in the excavation and/or construction industries as an entry level crane operator. Students will also be instructed on initial start-up procedures as well as basic preventative maintenance and safety procedures. Students will be given adequate seat time in order to become familiar and comfortable to operating the Hydraulic Crane.

Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age and submit a completed Enrollment Application to enroll for classes and provide proof of identification in the form of a driver's license, social security card, military identification, birth certificate, or other form of identification. Must provide proof of high school graduation or GED certificate. Applicants must meet basic physical criteria. The school does not discriminate based on mental or physical handicaps. However, students must be mentally and physically capable of safely operating equipment on a daily basis in order to successfully complete the program.
