Radiation & Imaging Sciences - Technology Concentration
The BAS Technology concentration is designed for individuals who have completed an entry-level imaging or radiation therapy educational program and want to advance their knowledge and skills within radiology.Required core courses provide the foundational skills for success as an advanced technologist. Students can choose from a variety of electives that will help develop advanced knowledge and technical skills that best match their career goals. In addition, the curriculum includes an overview of business and administrative functions in healthcare, foundational knowledge in information systems and accreditation, and essentials of leadership. The degree includes 180 credits, 50 of those from national certification and 40 from prerequisite/co-requisite work. The other 90 credits are 300-400 level classes in the Radiation and Imaging Sciences and Healthcare Management and Leadership programs, as well as general education courses in economics, communications, and ethics.
