Minimum qualifications must be clearly stated and applied in a nondiscriminatory manner [WAC 296-05-316(17)]. Minimum age of 18. High school diploma or equivalent. Able to meet the requirements of the trade. Exceptions may be made by the Apprenticeship Committee to the above qualifications if admission as an apprentice will benefit the applicant and the industry.
