You must be at least 18 years of age to obtain your CDL. However, CDL drivers under the age of 21 are prohibited from operating Commercial Motor Vehicles operating in INTERSTATE Commerce. Drivers under 21 are allowed to operate CMVs in INTRASTATE commerce only. Please contact us for more information or clarification. MUST HAVE A CURRENT/VALID WASHINGTON STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. Pegasus Corporation does NOT require your SS card to enroll you in the CDL program. Your Social Security card must be presented to DOL in order to obtain your Commercial Driver Instruction Permit (CDIP).
