This certificate is for existing healthcare workers desiring certification in Phlebotomy. Laboratory procedures and regulations as set forth by federal standards will be the focus of this course. Students will be taught how to perform clinical laboratory testing that is within their scope of practice. Phlebotomy training will be a major emphasis in this program with hands on practice and dexterity for successful and safe venipuncture. Other common lab tests performed in clinical settings will be learned.
