Sharpen your musicianship, expand your knowledge, and get ready for the next stage of your musical journey with EWU’s Bachelor of Arts in Music. The EWU BA in Music program allows you to investigate diverse areas of music within a flexible curricular framework. You’ll experience lessons on your primary instrument, music ensembles, and a comprehensive curriculum while also exploring music in the contexts of human history, cultural heritage, and social behavior. This degree can be combined with another major or minor, enabling you to tailor your academic journey to align with specific career goals. The program is designed to provide a broad understanding of the music discipline and prepare you for a wide range of career opportunities. Our distinguished and dedicated faculty members bring a wealth of experience to prepare you for a successful career, whether you’re interested in pursuing music education, performance, studio teaching, composition, or music therapy.

You’ll hone your ability to perform professionally through juries, recitals, and ensemble performances. Plus, you’ll build expertise in music theory, aural skills, and historical analysis while gaining hands-on experience in composition, performance, and research.
