The Bachelor of Applied Science program in Aeronautical Science is designed for students pursuing careers in the field of aviation. Successful graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills not only in their specific area of aviation interest, but also develop competencies in aviation from business and management perspectives.Graduates of Green River College's BAS - Aeronautical Science program that are interested in becoming professional pilots may be eligible for the R-ATP certificate at 1,000 hours total time provided they completed their Commercial and Instrument Flight training and certification at an approved GRC Part 141 flight school.

Other prerequisites

To enter this program students must already have an associate's degree or higher, in aviation, from a regionally accredited institution with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA. On a case by case basis, with program director approval, students may start the BAS - Aeronautical Science program when they are within 20 credits of completing their associate's degree. Students in this situation must complete their associate's degree within their first year as a BAS student.
