Previous experience or prerequisite training in audio is not a requirement, however, background in music, music theory and/or experience playing musical instruments are very helpful building blocks, and are highly encouraged. Students entering a program without any previous musical experience, may consider beginning music lessons before or during their enrollment to gain this valuable experience which will be helpful during their education and beyond.
