Montessori Teacher Preparation of Washington has provided training for adults since 1973, under the umbrella of the Montessori Institute of America. MTP of WA graduates are exempt from the mandatory 20 initial STARS hours for program directors and teachers in the State of Washington. MTP of WA students receive extended presentations in geography, history, science and music. MTP of WA students know and understand the Montessori materials, due to the requirements of writing of each lesson, including a picture, in all of the areas: practical living, sensorial, math, language, cultural, art, music, movement and cooking. The students are also tested over the use of these materials. Our students are experienced in the sequencing of material in each area, from simple to difficult.

Data is unavailable for one of several reasons: In some cases, the institution has not provided the Workforce Board with data to independently evaluate program performance. We encourage all schools to provide this data on an annual basis. In other cases, the program joined Career Bridge recently and student data has not been reported yet. In other cases, the program is too small or too new to provide reliable results.
