The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) certifies professional management accountants through their Certified Management Accountant (CMA) exam program. Accountants and other financial and business professionals pursue CMA certification to develop their skills set, improve their job prospects and increase their earning potential. In this course participants will learn from experienced Certified Management Accountant (CMA) instructors and review topics frequently tested on the CMA exam.The certificate also includes a comprehensive career consultancy and outplacement service and support that will allow for each participant to develop a strategic plan to help find employment and leverage the training. The career counseling is highly relevant based on input from human resources and hiring managers throughout the Puget Sound area. The outplacement support is comprised of a three day workshop to assist participants in developing: (1) Career Search Mastery: developing a strategic plan to help find jobs at your dream company, whether or not theyre advertised; and to develop a list of target companies that are aligned with your values, short & long-term career plans; (2) Interviewing Mastery: learning how to leverage proven psychology to build rapport and make positive first impression with any interviewer; and leverage expertise questions to demonstrate immediate credibility and overcome skeptics; (3)Resume Mastery: position you as the best candidate by developing a unique differentiating value proposition; and restructure resume bullets that tell a story and help sell your qualifications.
