PHR/SPHR Prep Support

City University of Seattle ETPL
The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) nationally certifies human resource professionals through their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credentials. This professional development program includes six modules that cover the body of knowledge covered in the PHR/SPHR exams while providing a broad overview of the HR field. The class also includes a comprehensive career consultancy and outplacement service and support that will allow for each participant to develop a strategic plan to help find employment and leverage the training. The career counseling is highly relevant based on input from human resources and hiring managers throughout the Puget Sound area. The career support courses can run concurrent with PHR/SPHR exam preparation component or at the conclusion. The outplacement support is comprised of a three day workshop to assist participants in developing: (1) Career Search Mastery: developing a strategic plan to help find jobs at your dream company, whether or not theyre advertised; and to develop a list of target companies that are aligned with your values, short & long-term career plans; (2) Interviewing Mastery: learning how to leverage proven psychology to build rapport and make positive first impression with any interviewer; and leverage expertise questions to demonstrate immediate credibility and overcome skeptics; (3)Resume Mastery: position you as the best candidate by developing a unique differentiating value proposition; and restructure resume bullets that tell a story and help sell your qualifications.
