Classes are for students who do not have a currant human massage license. This is a 300-hour course including 40 weekly lessons. The lessons are arranged in 4 quarters, 10 lessons per quarter, which is one lesson per-week for 10 weeks. Curriculum is similar to what is taught in human massage colleges; full-body massage approach specializing in traditional "Swedish" massage techniques and is not limited to a "Sports" massage routine only. Sports massage is taught in the course but is not a singular emphasis. Langley Equine Studies specializes in foundational massage, rehabilitative care, compensation patterns, myofascial release, structural integration and neuromuscular body work. The 300-hour course is an in-depth comprehensive class, fast paced, extensive study in anatomy & physiology, kinesiology, pathology and theory and practice, requiring considerable effort, time and dedication. A student needs to be self-motivated and be able to manage their time to study independently.
