This class is targeted to teach individuals how to safely operate powered industrial trucks (Sit-down Counterbalanced Forklifts). This can later on be used for employment in the warehouse and distribution industries. Eighty percent of this class is hands on training on the Forklift. Overall Objective: To ensure all powered industrial truck operators have received the proper training and have demonstrated the competency needed to safely operate power industrial trucks (Sit-down Counterbalanced Forklifts). Attendance Requirements: Clients are required to maintain 80 percent attendance. Testing Passing Scores: Testing will be 1 written test and 1 hands-on evaluation test done on the last two days of class. Clients will be required a passing score of 80% on the written test. The hands on evaluation must demonstrate operational proficiency in all of items listed under Basic Operating Procedure section and General Safety and achieve an overall score of 80 percent. Upon successful completion of the training clients will receive a 3 year OSHA compliant certification. Class 3 Electric Pallet Jack Training Catalogue.
