This short-term certificate program introduces students to the theory and operation of automatic transmissions/transaxles. Students learn the principles of late model transmissions, transaxles and sub-assemblies. Practical applications include the diagnosis and repair of all types of automatic transmissions/transaxle components. This is one stacked certificate included in our associates degree in Automotive Technology. When students complete all stacked certificates, they earn a 2 year associates degree in Automotive Technology.
