Substance Use Disorder
This degree is built upon the technical courses required for job preparation, but also includes a college-level general education component. This is consistent with the dual purpose of transfer and preparation for direct employment. This program could generally be categorized as social work or counseling. More specifically, students can acquire knowledge in areas of chemical dependency treatment, community mental health, support services for the elderly, early childhood education, juvenile and adult corrections, teen programs, community support programs, homeless services, hospice, domestic violence programs, services for employment, services for the developmentally disabled, alternative education programs, personnel and human resources, community corrections and services for the disabled.
