The Stunt Performer Course provides students with an essential assortment of skills and knowledge to those pursuing careers as professional stunt performers in or as actors who want to perform their own stunts. Detailed instruction is provided in the following areas: Foot Falls Rolls, Stair Falls, Western Combat, Martial Arts, Weaponry, Precision Driving, Fire Burns, High Falls, Air Ram, Mini Tramp, Wire Work, Ratchet, Rappelling, Parkour, and Acting the Action. Students will learn and practice all disciplines in class. All film fighting is performed for camera and reviewed for critique. Additionally, extensive meetings are conducted to discuss the business side of being a stunt performer and students will learn how to get hired and effectively advance their careers. These meetings will cover such topics as: Resumes, Joining SAG/AFTRA, Networking, and Set Protocols. A certificate of completion will be issued to graduates.
