Must be at least 18 years. Must have a high school diploma or GED at time of application. A Waiver for a high school diploma/GED may be granted for applicants who can provide documentation that they have worked two or more years in the construction industry. Must also meet a minimum score of 80 percent or better on the math and reading tests administered by the Apprenticeship program in order for the waiver to be granted. Must be physically able to perform the work of the trade. Required to complete and pass a physical that meets the requirements for a Washington State commercial driver license. Applicants must be able to write and speak the English language. Must submit to the Training Office copies of the following documents in order for their application to be considered completed: Document showing proof of age (such as copy of birth certificate or passport). Copy of valid State Driver License. DD-214 (if applicable) to show proof of related military work experience or training. Copy of Social Security card (for identification purposes only). Resume including work history. Employer letters of recommendation - minimum of one, maximum of three.Is this program approved to train veterans?
