The State Early Childhood Education Initial Certificate (12 credits) provides an introduction to the field of Early Childhood Education. This entry level certificate prepares childcare providers for assistant and aide positions in an early learning setting. It covers basic topics related to caring for young children and licensing requirements. All 12 credits of this certificate can be applied to the AAS Degree in Early Childhood Education.
