The BA in Chemistry and Biochemistry at EWU gives you a strong foundation in chemistry while offering flexibility to explore your interests. Designed for students seeking a broader science degree, the program focuses on core chemistry skills without the heavy emphasis on advanced math or intensive labs. You’ll build critical thinking and problem-solving skills while gaining a versatile understanding of chemistry that applies to a wide range of careers.
Two years of a single high school world language or one year of a single college-level world language is required. Due to the cumulative nature of chemistry courses, the department strongly recommends that students receive a grade ≥C in all prerequisite chemistry courses.
