The Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (BAE) is recommended for students planning for careers in music education. In addition to focusing on an instrument or voice, you can complete the Secondary Education Program which leads to certification to teach preschool to grade 12 in the State of Washington. This option requires more than 12 quarters to complete at 1516 credits per quarter and you are placed in appropriate area K-12 schools for student-teaching experience. A performance audition is required for entrance into this program.
