Yoga Teacher Training - 200 Hour

8 Limbs Yoga Centers LLC ETPL
Our 200-hour Teacher Training, which qualifies participants for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, is made up of two courses. Part One, Basic Training, meets one weekend a month for five months in the fall and winter, and Part Two, Advanced Training Retreat, is a week-long residential retreat at Breitenbush Hot Springs in Detroit, Oregon every April. You may take either of these trainings as personal study if teaching and/or certification are not a concern. These courses offer the aspiring or continuing yoga teacher or serious student a sound foundation in the principals of yoga theory and practice. We will bridge the ancient wisdom of yoga asanas with a modern and thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. Our main guides will be the eight limbs of yoga, as prescribed by the sage Patanjali in his text on the science of yoga, The Yoga Sutras. Our curriculum will provide Teacher Training participants with the basic tools to begin leading groups of all levels and to continue on the path of yoga with grace and humble confidence. Basic Training, combined with the 8 Limbs Advanced Training Retreat, fulfill the requirements for a 200-hour RYT certificate with Yoga Alliance.
