Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Minimum qualifications must be clearly stated and applied in a nondiscriminatory manner [WAC 296-05-015(17)]. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must verify satisfactory (C average or better) completion of course in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Must verify satisfactory (C average or better) completion of a course in electrical theory or electronic fundamentals. Must be physically able to meet the needs of the trade. Must be able to demonstrate basic skills with computer applications such as email, internet searches and Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have a valid Washington State driver's license. Must have a valid First Aid/CPR card.
