Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Minimum qualifications must be clearly stated and applied in a nondiscriminatory manner [WAC 296-05-015(17)]. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application. Completion of eighth grade. Physically able to perform the work of the trade. Must be working as a roofer/waterproofer helper for a qualified employer. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format defined as the ability to ask for and fill out the application on the employer's premises or the JATC office.
