Prerequisite courses and other requirements

Minimum qualifications must be clearly stated and applied in a nondiscriminatory manner [WAC 296-05-015(17)]. At least 18 years of age. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or High school equivalency certificate, with at least one year of HS Algebra or equivalent required. Able to meet the requirements of the trade. Applicant must take the National J.A.T.C. test with a passing score of 4 or better. Applicants must have ability and aptitude to learn correct practices as they relate to A unit classifications and the ability to use tools and equipment of the trade. Must possess a valid Washington State Driver License.
