Massage Therapy Entry-Level Program: Educational Goals: The Therapeutic Massage Program is designed to prepare the graduate for a successful massage therapy career targeting the general population. The program is designed to include the entry level core content as determined by the Massage Therapy Body of Knowledge (mtbok.org), the Entry Level Analysis Project (elapmassage.org) as well as the requirements for approval licensing by Washington State Board of Massage and Washington Workforce Education Training Board. Sage Academy program exceeds the 650-hour minimum requirement set by the Washington State Board of Massage (September 2021 standard). The program includes: Knowledge of massage theory & practice. Knowledge of essential sciences to use clinical reasoning in the performance of out-come based massage adapted to the individual client. Knowledge & skills to perform massage in a safe, effective & efficient manner. Clinical & Lab hours to ensure student competency in clinical reasoning as well as 100 hours of massage outside of student performed clinic hours, which is a requirement for certificate of completion.
