The Museum Studies Minor dives into the theoretical and practical aspects of museums. We emphasize community-oriented approaches to museum and exhibition practices that prepare you for diverse employment opportunities in museums and cultural institutions. Through experiential learning opportunities, you will acquire practical skills in exhibition design and installation, database management, registration, preventative conservation, and museum public programs.

To be eligible for admission to this program, students should be enrolled in a related major (e.g., anthropology, art, biology, geology, geography, history, leisure services, science education, etc.). Approval by the anthropology department chair is also required.
