Nursing Assistant

This course consists of 60 theory hours + 60 clinical hours covering the following content areas: First Aid/CPR, HIV/AIDS, blood born pathogens and basic technical nursing assistance skills. It is designed to prepare students to demonstrate competencies in the following areas: medical terminology, computer literacy, mathematical principles, basic care skills, infection control, safety and emergency procedures. Students practice effective communication (oral, reading, writing) and interpersonal skills, as well as workplace skills. In addition students will demonstrate understanding of rules and regulations pertaining to Washington State NAC requirements.
