This short-term certificate program introduces students to the theory and operation of manual transmissions/transaxles, differential, drive line, transfer case, and constant velocity joints. Students learn the principles of late model manual transmissions, transaxles and sub-assemblies. Practical applications include the diagnosis and repair of all types of manual transmissions/transaxles, transfer case, and differential components. This is one stacked certificate included in our associates degree in Automotive Technology. When students complete all stacked certificates, they earn a 2 year associates degree in Automotive Technology. If students wish to take more certificates but less than the requirements for an associates degree, we have shorter certificate options in Automotive Technology. Please visit our website for more information.
