This certificate is offered through the Human Services program. Certified Chemical Dependency Professionals (CDPs) help people who are addicted to substances such as alcohol, prescription, and illicit drugs. Addiction or substance abuse counseling helps patients identify the behavior problems and patterns associated with their addition. A CDP may work with individuals, families or groups of people who are in some way connected to the same problem.
