Bates Technical College ETPL
Have you ever dreamed of creating your own music video, mini-documentary, or digital advertisement? How about learning how to create, produce, and direct your own talk show or podcast? Does working in the exciting field of live professional sports, including eSports, sound like a fun job? Do you love engineering and technical work? You could become the “go-to” person on any film or digital content creation site as the lead or chief technical engineer. All this and more awaits you in the Broadcasting/Video Production program. The curriculum at Bates Technical College has been examined by and meets the requirements of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and students can test for certification upon completion of the program. If you have ever dreamed of working behind the scenes as a camera operator, technical director, chief engineer, editor, sUAS video(drone) pilot, audio engineer, or any other position; then the Bates Broadcasting/Video Production (BVP) may be a great fit for you. Former BVP students are working in dozens of different industries and companies from major TV stations like KOMO, KIRO, KCPQ and KING to Microsoft studios, Century Link, Safeco Field, TVW, Root Sports, Victory Studios, and many more through the nation. The BVP curriculum has the rare distinction of being certified by the Society of Broadcasting Engineers (SBE).
