Students develop knowledge and skills necessary for employment in clinical and administrative-support areas of medical clinics. The Lower Columbia College Medical Assisting Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This assures the highest standards in a medical assisting curriculum and qualifies the successful graduate to sit for the national Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam administered by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
