The Auto Repair Technician AAS prepares students for employment in automotive dealership service centers, independent repair shops, and specialty or customized shops. Today's automobile is designed and engineered at a higher level of technology than ever before. This produces a high demand for trained repair technicians who can meet the increased technical challenges and demonstrate advanced knowledge-particularly in the electrical and electronics areas. As a well-trained technician with current skills, you can expect rapid employment and a steady rising income. In addition, this program includes preparation for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification.
