Phlebotomy Technician

The number of phlebotomy jobs is growing and is expected to continue growing. Phlebotomists collect blood for lab analysis and work in medical and diagnostic laboratories, physicians offices and other healthcare facilities. Students enroll in Health 220 after all prerequisites are met. Upon successful completion of classroom and clinical externship training, the student meets eligibility requirements to sit for the national certification exam sponsored by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
