Higher Living Healthcare Training School’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program prepares students with the knowledge, practical skills, and supervised clinical experience required to pursue certification as a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC/CNA) in Washington State.

The program is delivered in a hybrid/blended format using Washington ReadyCNA online coursework, instructor-led support, in-person skills laboratory training, supervised clinical experience, and state examination preparation. Students complete nursing assistant theory, knowledge checks, reading and review assignments, reflective learning activities, hands-on skills practice, clinical preparation, supervised resident care, final review, and remediation when needed.

The curriculum covers Washington nursing assistant competencies, including resident rights, communication, infection prevention and control, workplace safety, basic nursing skills, restorative care, personal care, mental health and social service needs, cognitive impairment, life transitions, documentation, professionalism, and preparation for the state competency examination.

The program includes 116 total clock hours:

• 43 hours of theory instruction
• 33 hours of skills laboratory training
• 40 hours of supervised clinical training

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, students receive a Certificate of Completion and are prepared to pursue the Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified examination and credentialing process.
