Ski Mountaineering and Avalanche Leadership - Part II

American Alpine Institute ETPL
This course is the second program in our comprehensive winter progression. It builds upon the fundamentals of movement and avalanche hazard assessment that were learned in Part I, as well as teaching more technical skills for climbing and moving in wintery environments. Based in the backcountry near Mt. Baker, this program will prepare climbers and skiers for extended outings into the winter mountains while exploring the nuances of climbing in the winter environments.
