The Construction Trades Training Academy (CTTA) is a short-term program that helps people quickly get into construction jobs where workers are in high demand. The Registered Pre-Apprenticeship combines classroom learning, hands-on training, and direct connections to employers. The program runs for 8 weeks (280 hours) and is designed as a fast-track option for people who are new to construction or changing careers. Participants learn practical, job-ready skills that employers are looking for. They earn certifications in OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR, Forklift and HBI PACT Core and Carpentry, while also building basic construction skills such as using tools, framing, and jobsite safety. Much of the training includes real, hands-on projects, sometimes in partnership with groups like Habitat for Humanity.
