PNW Nursing Assistant School trains students to become certified nursing assistants. Upon successful completion of the program, students will not receive an academic credential from PNW Nursing Assistant School; however, they will be eligible to take the Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) examination. This certification, administered by the Washington State Department of Health, is required for employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State. The school provides all necessary training and documentation to help students meet the eligibility requirements for the NAC exam.

High school diploma or equivalent (or ability to benefit)
Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English sufficient to safely complete coursework and clinical training;
Must be 18 years old;
Background check required through the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, and must pass criminal background clearance for working with vulnerable adults;
TB Test Clearance, Immunizations (required for Clinical Practicum/Training - MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Flu vaccine - seasonal, Covid-19 (facility dependent)
Proof of being physically able to perform CNA duties (lifting 50 lbs, standing, sitting, etc.);
Current CPR /BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
